Ingibjörg Inga
My journey toward a compassion-focused approach has been both diverse and deeply educational. The common thread throughout my life has always been a profound inner desire to support and empower others. This calling has been with me since childhood, driving me forward in all my studies and work. I am truly passionate about helping people find the strength that resides within them, especially when life gets tough—and guiding them to transform adversity into new insight and self-kindness.
With a background as a CFT therapist, lawyer, and yoga teacher, alongside studies in positive psychology, I have gained a deep understanding of how the body, mind, and soul work together. For over fifteen years, I have guided people through yoga and meditation. That path has been rich and varied: from running my own yoga studio in Sweden and leading yoga during silent retreats in Skálholt, to developing courses for individuals struggling with anxiety and depression. Through this work, I have met people facing their deepest challenges and learned how vital it is to meet everyone exactly where they are.
For years, I have written and shared insights on personal growth and self-care, and worked closely with vulnerable women and children at Kvinnojouren in Sweden. That experience taught me to meet every individual with the deepest sensitivity and respect.
My approach is centred on creating a warm and safe space where we can explore things from new perspectives. My greatest strength lies in meeting others with warmth and understanding, helping them connect with their own self-compassion, especially when self-criticism and difficult life experiences have clouded the view of their own worth.
In 2025, I began practising independently as a CFT therapist. In my work, I weave together evidence-based psychological methods, somatic awareness, and the power of putting one's experiences into words. I truly believe that by changing the conversation we have with ourselves, we can change our lives for the better.
